The Helpline Center created a resource guide specific to Sioux Falls, SD. This resource guide lists community programs, which are part of the 211 resource database, that provide direct basic needs and services such as clothing and household items, employment services, family and parenting, financial support, food, health care, housing, mental health, shelter, and transportation.

Free Counseling for Survivors of Abuse
The Children's Inn provides free and confidential services for women, children, and men who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, or neglect. From Emergency Shelter to Outreach and Advocacy, their services focus on helping individuals who have experienced violence to heal. They are here to help others to live free from abuse and provide guidance every step of the way.

Families Forward Program:
Ver Beek Law continually shares information about the next Families Forward program throughout the year on Facebook. Follow us for more information. The Families Forward Program is offered free of charge through a partnership between the Children's Inn and the Compass Center.
If you are a survivor of domestic violence, this program may be for you. Take some time to help you and your children heal at the next mother & children support group. One group is for mothers who have experienced domestic violence. The second group is for children ages 4-12 of moms attending the mothers group.

The mission of the Helpline Center is making lives better by giving support, offering hope and creating connections all day, every day. The core service areas Helpline Center is the 211 Helpline, Volunteer Connections, & Suicide and Crisis Support. The Helpline Center is the only entity in the state accredited by the Alliance for Information and Referral Systems and the only entity in the state that provides a certified crisis line through the American Association of Suicidology. The Helpline Center is a blended call center, meaning that all of the staff are cross trained to handle crisis and information/referral phone calls.
